The Mirror of Erised

Post by Admin on Sat Nov 07, 2015 5:41 pm

Ron sees himself in the Mirror of Erised as Head Boy and quidditch captain holding the House Cup and the Quidditch Cup.
  • How much of what he sees is dictated by his jealousy of his older brothers and his desire to live up to the family name?
What does this say about Ron’s self-image and self-worth?

Harry asks Dumbledore the very personal question of what he sees when he looks in the Mirror of Erised. It is the only time Harry really asks Dumbledore anything personal about himself and the first time Dumbledore lies to Harry.
  • What do you think Dumbledore sees in the Mirror of Erised?
  • What do you think you would see?
